The suites were a good size and there was plenty of natural lighting. There were quite a few restaurants/cafes in the immediate vicinity. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
The toilet is too close to the glass screen separating it from the shower and the card was not reliable in opening the underground car park.
Self contained appartment with laundry and cooking facilities is very convenient for a relaxed stay. The complex also has a pool and gym. Located next to a recently developed quayside area with bars restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the shopping centre.
Chifley only offer a number of time chargeable Internet packages, many hotels now provide this service free of charge.
The staff were fabulous and the pool, access to fine dining of familly meals was great.
Not a real complaint but the bathroom was a bit tired and not as shiny clean as you might expext, Leave more toilet paper please !!!! The overflow from the shower was a bit of a worry but we built a dam of towels.
The service was superb! Im going to be staying again!
Location was excellent
No flyscreens No extra blankets And no extra rolls of toilet paper
Comfort and close proximity to restaurants
relaxing and comfortable but needs something to adorn the wall. they were very bare and made the rooms clinical
Found the experience very satisfying. Had read some of the comments on the web pages relating to the accommodation prior to booking, i/e views over a empty block of land, small tv and shower floods.Yes the room outlooked over a vacant block but that is Newcastle. Still had views of the harbour. From the time we checked in until departure I can honestly say we were treated as guests and this resulted in a fantastic night. Staff need to be commended as they actually take the time to talk to guests.
Thought breakfast was a bit on the expensive side however this is optional and there are plenty of brochures displayed saying what you get for your money.
Very convenient and near the harbour
Overall presentation and no additional cost for children under 12
Additional car parking fee
Two of the front reception staff were excellent, Alex and Irene, extremely helpful on all counts during my stay, decor was very nice, room lay out interesting, liked the glass sliding panels
not able to get internet access without drama - not acceptable in 2010 and $25 pd excessive - normally when I am running workshops in a hotel this service would be complimentary, room set up v. poor, no reading lamp for work area, switches for appliances located behind microwave, cord for kettle did not reach power points, smoke alarm hypersensitive, triggered 4 times - not able to use toaster or grill for this reason, too much hassle to be setting alarm off just making a piece of toast, not time to deal with this level of hassle when you are in work accommodation. used conference room for 4 days, not acceptable amenities - 2 disabled toilets accessed via the gym, not really good enough for a booking for approx 25 people per day
The room was clean and modern. The staff friendly and very helpful. Facilities in the room were good, alongwith secure car paking which was excellent.
The noise from the metal speed hump on the road just outside the window went on nearly all night (Friday and Saturday) and was horrendus. Maybe discussions with the appropriate authority can change the speed hump to concrete or similar material that would alleviate the constant 'BANG, BANG' of a car going over the speed hump. We had a lot of trouble finding the premises due to poor marketing of the address and information how to get to the entrance. Possibly fit a sliding curtain or a blind to the glass dividing wall separating the bedroom, which would allow for blacking out the bedroom for a sleep in, or to allow the living area be used without disturbing a person asleep in bed.
the bed. Didn"t use the kitchen or the washing machine and dryer but its a nice feature to have.
there shud be automatic doors at entrance, very difficult when you have alot of luggage. alot of internal noise.Tv too small. couldn't block out light, to enjoy a morning sleep in.
Die Ausstattung und Konzeption des Zimmers war sehr gut und sauber.
Kostenpflichtiger Parkplatz in der Hotelgarage ist für diesen Preis teuer
Sehr gute Ausstattung Gute Lageü
